My Top 4 Masks for Damaged & Ravaged Hair

If you’re looking for some products to fix your hair, you’re in the right place. By the time you finish reading this post, you’ll have learnt my 4 best masks for damaged and ravaged hair. I’ve been using these products myself for a long time, they work great and my hair clearly loves each one of them.

Why my hair was in ruin

I ruined my hair due to frequent coloring that I did myself at home. I know that some hair dyes I bought weren’t of the highest quality, but I couldn’t care less at that time. Using a flat iron almost every single day wasn’t a good idea either. I used to visit a hairdresser once in a blue moon, or even less than that, which left me with extremely damaged and over-processed strands. Luckily, I discovered products called hair masks. They literally rescued my hair, which I’m thankful for. Now, when my hair is in a better condition and looks fine, I try to visit a hairdresser more often, which happens every four or five months, to get my hair trimmed.

Which hair masks managed to fix my miserable hair? I’m going to present to you 4 best products that – in my opinion – are worth the money.

My Top 4 Masks for Damaged & Ravaged Hair

1. Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask

Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask

I’ve known Nanoil for 3 years or so, and I really like its beauty products. Since their face serum works perfectly for me, I decided to give their hair mask a go, too. And you know what? Among all hair masks I’ve used, Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask seems to be unrivaled. It’s easy to use and doesn’t run down the hair when applied. That’s why I don’t mind letting it sit for 15 minutes because it doesn’t bother me at all. This product reveals softer, shinier and healthier hair. And I was able to notice this effect after rinsing the product for the first time. After a couple more uses my hair became stronger, which is owed to hydrolyzed keratin that penetrates the shaft to reverse damage. I didn’t have to wait long to be satisfied with the results: strong, glossy and fuller-looking hair. Even the size is a plus because you get 300 ml of this keratin-rich hair mask. The funny thing is that Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask sells out fast so you need to check regularly whether it’s available again. Where can you check it? On the official website, OFC. Here it is: nanoil.us

2. Keune Care Keratin Smooth Mask

I hadn’t known about Keune before I started getting interested in hair masks. I read some comments and reviews, which made me buy Care Keratin Smooth Mask, and I don’t regret it. I agree with everything I read about this product. It leaves hair smooth and prevents frizz – an excellent choice for unruly wisps. An unique formula prevents breaking and brittleness. Interestingly, this mask is able to create a coating on the hair to shield it from high temperatures. From what I know, it’s pretty uncommon that a hair mask shouldn’t sit on hair longer than for 5 minutes, which is the case of Keune Care Keratin Smooth Mask. Naturally, I kept it longer and ended up with flat and volume-deprived strands. Since that very unsuccessful experiment, I don’t let this mask sit longer than just a couple of minutes. Luckily, this is enough to get glossy and easy to comb strands. The good news is that you can choose between 200 and 500 ml packaging.

3. Davines Nourishing Building Pak

Even though Davines doesn’t launch budget-friendly cosmetics, I think that – at least – some of their products are really good, and one of them is Nourishing Building Pak. In this mask you can find two types of keratin: hydrolyzed and regular. I also like the fact that this product contains omega-9 acid that is proven to reverse damage inside the shafts. You need to apply it just once to see how soft and lustrous your hair can be. Apart from that, Davines Nourishing Building Pak leaves hair more voluminous, despite its thick consistency, which is pretty surprising to me. The downside is that Davines mask (250 ml) works better when you use it together with the same series shampoo, which – let’s be honest – is exorbitantly expensive.

4. Wella Professionals SP Luxe Oil

Let me start by telling you that you can pick among 150 and 400 ml jars. I went for the smaller one because at that time I needed a product that would fit into my travel bag. And you know what? This is when I use Wella Professionals SP Luxe Oil most often – I mean, when I spend time outside my hometown. Apart from keratin, this mask is also rich in plant oils: argan, jojoba and sweet almond. This is exactly why Wella Professionals SP Luxe Oil is so good at moisturizing and repairing my hair. Like other masks I’ve mentioned above, this one also leaves hair soft and glossy. If I can give you a piece of advice, I’d say that you shouldn’t let it sit too long on your hair – especially if it’s thin – to prevent the mask from stripping volume off. Just 8 minutes are enough. However, if you rinse it fast enough, you should like the effect this mask creates on hair.

Let me know which hair mask you’re going to choose. Don’t forget to share the results with me 🙂
