Gel-like soap for brow styling

Nanobrow Eyebrow Styling Soap – Soap for Brow Shaping [TEST]

Hey there!

Here’s my review of a brow styling soap Nanobrow! Are you curious how it stacks up against regular hand washing soaps? Enjoy reading! 🙂

In the search of good brow products

My bushy brows pose a challenge in my everyday makeup routine. I was tired of them sticking out every morning… Neither brow gel nor mascara helped – they proved not enough. I started wondering about brow lamination to tame them, however, I knew I would need to repeat the treatment regularly because it doesn’t produce permanent results.

When browsing through blogs of fellow beauty bloggers, I came across a top-ranked brow soap. I’d heard of styling brows with soap, aka soap brows, but I never thought the trend would work for my brows.

To start testing, I bought Nanobrow Eyebrow Styling Soap (you can find it here: nanobrow.us) and wanted to see if it really is as good as they say.

My eyebrow makeup with the brow soap Nanobrow

The first use went smoothly though I’m not skilled at doing the brows. First I applied a small amount of the soap on the spoolie that comes with the pot. Btw, it has a perfect shape. Next, I brushed it into the hairs which took seconds. The soap is very soft and easy to work with. It is nothing like a regular soap bar – it has a light, gel-like texture and, as the producer assures, it doesn’t need mixing with water.

After applying the soap, eyebrow hair becomes super soft and manageable. I really feel my thick brows get much easier to style thanks to this soap. After shaping and setting them with NANOBROW, they stay in place and there’s no hair sticking out. They look as if laminated.

Finally my brow makeup routine causes no pain 🙂 It takes seconds, is super easy, and leaves brows polished.

Eyebrow soap Nanobrow vs. regular soap bar

To show the difference, I also tried soap brows using a hand wash soap bar.

Here’s the result:

Regular soap bar

  • We need lots of water to create the paste-like texture
  • Not every type of brush works for applying regular soap on brows – the silicone-bristle ones fail
  • The soap left white streaks on the brows and they were visible even after filling in the brows
  • The soap built up on the skin leaving noticeable smudges
  • Regular soap left clumps and hairs stuck together

Eyebrow styling soap Nanobrow

  • Nothing like regular bar soap (except for the name :))
  • Very mild and light
  • Gel-like texture, non-overburdening, not sticking hairs together
  • No redness and irritations
  • Doesn’t need mixing with water or extra solutions
  • Leaves brows softer, giving them desired shape is effortless
  • Comes with a perfectly shaped spoolie which makes the job so much easier

Summing up: as far as my brows go, Nanobrow tops bar soaps. It’s a brilliant, recommendable product – especially for those with unruly brows like mine. Nanobrow proves terrific!

Will you give it a try?
