Best Anti-redness & Soothing Face Serums I’ve Tried and Recommend

I can’t imagine my daily skin routine without a bottle of a top-notch face serum. To be honest, it seems to me that this type of beauty product helped me say goodbye to all my skin concerns that troubled me for a really long time.

In a moment you’ll understand why incorporating a face serum to your daily skin regimen can bring you many benefits. Additionally, I’ll show you skincare products that, I think, are worth having them at home.

Do you really know what a face serum is?

I like to describe a face serum as a beauty elixir closed in a small glass bottle. Instead of being made up of too many ingredients, a face serum consists only of active substances that are always carefully selected to target particular skin concerns. When it comes to the texture, you can choose among water-based, oil-based and gel or cream face serums.

Among its most important features, there is one that I like most – quick and deep penetration. In other words, a face serum is able to absorb deeply, going through all skin layers. This means that face serum wields the greatest power among all skincare products designed for home use.

I hope I managed to give you reasons and explain how you can benefit from using a face serum. Now, when you understand this issue better, it’s time to think about a product that suits your skin best. To make it super simple for you, I’ve prepared a short ranking of the best anti-redness face serums I’ve had a chance to use myself, and fixed my complexion with.

SERUM NO. 1: Nanoil, Anti Redness Face Serum

Nanoil, Anti Redness Face Serum

Placed at the very top of my ranking, I consider Nanoil Anti-Redness Face Serum as an unrivaled soothing serum. I fell in love with this product the first time I used it. Why?

Naturally, this serum wouldn’t be so efficacious if it wasn’t made up of what it’s made up of. The main ingredient is horse chestnut extract which is one of redness-prone skin’s best allies. This very naturally-derived substance is responsible for fixing weak capillaries, and by making them stronger it eventually reduces their appearance completely. But this serum has more in store for us. I also noticed that now my skin is less reactive. If you count on some moisturizing and nourishment then you get that too.

The entire formula looks really impressive. Nanoil Anti-Redness Face Serum is water-based, thus absorbs into the skin quickly without forming any oily coating on the face. This serum can be worn under make-up.

One bottle of Nanoil Anti-Redness face serum holds 50 ml / 1.69 oz and lasts really long. I haven’t used up my bottle yet, and I’ve been using it for a few months!

Downsides of Nanoil Serum? Well, I couldn’t find any. This is the only face serum I’m 100% satisfied with.

SERUM NO. 2: Origins, Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins, Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief, Advanced Face Serum

I have to admit that I was pretty terrified when I unscrewed the serum for the first time. I wasn’t sure whether I should put it on my face. Why? Because of the peculiar smell. Hesitating for a while, I eventually decided to hold my breath and spread Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief all over my face and neck. Luckily, the effects were worth the risk.

I believe that the main ingredient, which is reishi mushrooms, is responsible for the product’s aroma. Apart from giving off this weird smell, they are responsible for boosting skin’s defense mechanism and refining its texture. Other constituents such as sea buckthorn is added to the composition to soothe irritations that are common for redness-prone complexions. The longer I used Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Advanced Face Serum, my skin seemed to be getting more resistant to strong wind and cold weather, which was pretty surprising for me. At the end of the treatment, my complexion was even-toned and calm.

Despite having cream consistency, Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Advanced Face Serum is easy to spread all over the face and – to my surprise – absorbs into skin quickly. Oh, and the last thing that I need to clarify. This weird aroma fades away after applying the serum to the skin.

I bought a 30-ml (1 oz) bottle but you can go for 50 or 100 ml (1.69 oz and 3.4 oz respectively). Next time I’ll definitely buy a bigger bottle. But first I need to save up some money 🙂 or get a promo code, or something.

SERUM NO. 3: Dr. Jart+ Cicapair, Tiger Grass Re.pair Serum

This is a beautiful green-tinted soothing face serum able to erase reddens from the face within a few seconds. Naturally, the color isn’t the only thing that this effect is owed to.

I like using Dr. Jart+ Cicapair, Tiger Grass Re.pair Serum, especially in the morning. It has no problems with erasing redness and spider veins for my face. It absorbs into skin quickly, creating no oil feel afterwards.

Even though I had to be patient to see other effects, the serum eventually gave me a healthy-looking and clear complexion. I also noticed my skin to be less reactive to external aggressors. When I followed the Tiger Grass Re.pair Serum with a moisturizer, my skin felt so good.

One bottle holds 30 ml (1 oz) and from what I know, you may save up some money if you order Dr. Jart+ Cicapair, Tiger Grass Re.pair Serum online.

SERUM NO. 4: Dermalogica, Ultra Calming Redness Relief Essence

I ordered this serum because of my friend who recommended it to me. Although it works really cool, it has one big downside that I’m going to explain below.

Dermalogica Ultra Calming Redness Relief Essence contains licorice extract which is expected to brighten pigmentation spots and strengthen weak blood vessels. Spider veins and other causes of redness are dealt with, which made me very happy at the time I was using this serum. Apart from that, my skin was protected from aggressors. How do I know? Because it was less reactive.

Its cream texture penetrates skin pretty fast, however, I’m not a fan of how this serum is supposed to be applied to the face. It doesn’t come with any applicator, and I think that a dropper would be nice. So, instead of measuring out even portions, you need to pour the product onto your palms and spread it over your face. I don’t need to mention that in this way you waste a lot of product.

I ordered the 50 ml (1.69 oz) packaging but there is also a 150 ml (5.27 oz) option. Of course, the bigger packaging appears to be cheaper but let me tell you that Dermalogica Ultra Calming Redness Relief Essence has a fairly short shelf life.
